Judges of Civil Cassation Court within Supreme Court and Criminal Cassation Court within Supreme Court Chose Their Representatives for Organizing Committee to Convene Plenum of Supreme Court

On 13 November 2017 the meeting of judges of the Civil Cassation Court within the Supreme Court and the Criminal Cassation Court within the Supreme Court took place at the house of the High Specialized Court of Ukraine, on the material and technological base of which the Supreme Court is particularly founded.

Judges of corresponding courts discussed priority organizational issues connected with the beginning of functioning of the Supreme Court and chose their representatives for the organizing committee to convene the Plenum of the Supreme Court within thirty days.

The organizing committee consists of the following judges from the Civil Cassation Court within the Supreme Court: Dmytro Luspenyk, Hryhorii Usyk, Dmytro Hudyma; and judges from the Criminal Cassation Court within the Supreme Court: Valentyna Shchepotkina, Viktor Ostapchuk and Arkadii Bushchenko.

Pursuant to item 11 of the Section XII “Final and Transitional Provisions” of the Law of Ukraine No. 1402-VIII from 2 June 2016 “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges”, not later than in five days after the sixty fifth judge of the Supreme Court is appointed the organizational committee shall be created based on the principle of equal representation from each cassation court. The committee shall convene the Plenum of the Supreme Court within thirty days.
